Το ευρωπαϊκό ποδόσφαιρο πενθεί τον άδικο χαμό του Μάρτον Φούλοπ, ο οποίος έφυγε από τη ζωή, σε ηλικία 32 ετών, νικημένος από την επάρατη νόσο.

Οι φίλοι της Σάντερλαντ, στην οποία αγωνίστηκε ο Ούγγρος τερματοφύλακας, τίμησαν τη μνήμη του, εναποθέτοντας στεφάνι στο άγαλμα που βρίσκεται στην είσοδο του "Stadium of Light".
