Ο αμυντικός της Μπαρτσελόνα, Ζεράρ Πικέ παραχώρησε συνέντευξη και αποκάλυψε το παρασκήνιο πίσω από την πολυσυζητημένη φωτογραφία με πρωταγωνιστές τον ίδιο και τον Ζλάταν Ιμπραχίμοβιτς.

The "intimate" image shows the duo in a strange pose. Pique, 28, who is married to Colombian singer Shakira, can be seen facing his Swedish teammate, who is almost leaning back against a car, and holding him by the hand.

Now Pique has decided to explain what happened in the moment the two players were snapped unaware in a car park after a training session.

The Spanish defender said: "I had just launched my autobiography and Zlatan came to congratulate me.

"I am a very affectionate person and the photographer caught us in the moment I took hold of his hand."

Gerard, who was unimpressed with the invasion of privacy somewhere where he didnt expect it, added; "The photographer was inside the training ground so it couldnt have been someone from a gossip magazine."

He blames the press for trying to unsettle the team before the big match. "We were about to play against Real Madrid, so I think that the press was looking to destabilise the team," he added.

The image has circulated far and wide - along with rumours of a possible gay romance between the players.

Shakira was surprised at the reaction it caused, saying "I couldnt believe that this has become something so massive on the internet."

When the rumours were at their peak, the amused Barceola player even tried to make light of the situation by joking that "Ibrahimovic is my boyfriend."

The image was captured by a photographer in 2010, when both players still shared the Barcelona changing room, but it is only now that Pique has decided to explain what was happening.

Πριν από λίγα χρόνια, τη σεζόν που ο Ζλάταν Ιμπραχίμοβιτς φόρεσε τη φανέλα της Μπαρτσελόνα, μία φωτογραφία με πρωταγωνιστή τον ίδιο και τον Ζεράρ Πικέ είχε γίνει αντικείμενο έντονων αντιπαραθέσεων και μεγάλης συζήτησης.

Ο φωτογραφικός φακός είχε συλλάβει τους δύο ποδοσφαιριστές σε μία... υποτιθέμενη ρομαντική στιγμή. Το θέμα είχε πάρει μεγάλες διαστάσεις, με αποτέλεσμα να αμφισβητείται ο ανδρισμός των δύο ανδρών.

Ο αμυντικός των "μπλαουγκράνα" παραχώρησε συνέντευξη και αναφέρθηκε στο συγκεκριμένο συμβάν, αποκαλύπτοντας το παρασκήνιο και δίνοντας την πραγματική διάσταση των γεγονότων.

"Είχε μόλις δημοσιεύσει την αυτοβιογραφία μου και είχε έρθει να μου δώσει συγχαρητήρια. Είμαι ένας άνθρωπος ιδιαίτερα εξωστρεφής, με αποτέλεσμα ο φωτογράφος να βγάλει τη συγκεκριμένη φωτογραφία. Ήταν μέσα στο προπονητικό κέντρο, επομένως δεν θα μπορούσε να είναι κάποιος παπαράτσι. Δεν πίστευα πως θα πάρει τέτοια διάσταση το ζήτημα. Δεν μπορώ να πω πως η αντίδραση με εξέπληξε. Ήμασταν μπροστά από τη Ρεάλ Μαδρίτης, με μόλις λίγες αγωνιστικές να απομένουν, επομένως ο Τύπος βρήκε αφορμή να μας 'χτυπήσει'. Παρόλα αυτά, κερδίσαμε τον τίτλο", ανέφερε χαρακτηριστικά.
