Η Βαλένθια, μέσω του επίσημου σάιτ της, γνωστοποίησε ότι ο Ισπανός αριστερός μπακ θα συνεχίσει την καριέρα του στους Κυπελλούχους Ισπανίας.
Ο Αλμπα, ο οποίος διαπρέπει με τα χρώματα της Εθνικής Ισπανίας στο Euro 2012, έχει σημειώσει αλματώδη άνοδο στην καριέρα του τα τελευταία χρόνια.
Με τη Βαλένθια κατέγραψε 73 συμμετοχές και 5 γκολ στο ισπανικό πρωτάθλημα από το 2008 και μετά ενώ με την Εθνική ομάδα μετράει ήδη 10 συμμετοχές.
Στο ρόστερ της Μπαρτσελόνα ο Αλμπα παίρνει ουσιαστικά τη θέση του Ερικ Αμπιντάλ. Η μεταγραφή στοίχισε 14 εκατομμύρια ευρώ και ο παίκτης υπέγραψε πενταετές συμβόλαιο.
