Η Γαλατασαράι έκανε πράξη την απειλή της και ανακοίνωσε ότι δεν θα κατέβει να παίξει στον 7ο τελικό του τουρκικού πρωταθλήματος κόντρα στην Φενέρμπαχτσε!
Η Γαλατά προέβη σ' αυτήν την κίνηση αφενός γιατί θεωρεί ότι η Φενέρμπαχτσε έπρεπε να τιμωρηθεί για τη συμπεριφορά των οπαδών της στο 5ο παιχνίδι και αφετέρου διότι ορίστηκε στο 7ο παιχνίδι ο διαιτητής Ρετσέπ Ανκαραλί.
