epa02627257 A handout picture provided by the Pakistani military Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) office on 11 March 2011 shows the test-firing of Pakistan's short range Surface to Surface (STS) Ballistic Missile Hataf-2 (Abdali) at an undisclosed location. India and Pakistan on 11 March successfully test-fired nuclear-capable ballistic missiles, defence officials of the two countries said. The South Asian neighbours have fought three wars since their independence from British rule in 1947 and often carry out tit-for-tat missile tests. Pakistan test-fired the surface-to-surface Hataf II, also called Abdali, from an undisclosed location, a military spokesman said. The Hataf II missile has a range of 180 kilometres and is capable of carrying a conventional or nuclear warhead. EPA/ISPR / HANDOUT EDITORIAL USE ONLY/NO SALES
